When should I book my moving survey?
As soon as you’ve found a buyer for your property and appointed a conveyancer, it’s a good idea to book a removal survey. This allows Mavericks Movers to provide you with a quote and ensure availability for your preferred moving date. The earlier you schedule your survey, the smoother the process will be.
Does a moving survey cost anything or commit me to using Mavericks Movers?
No, our surveys are completely free, and you are under no obligation to use our services after receiving a quote.
Do I have to pack everything myself?
Not at all! We offer:
Full Packing Service – We pack everything for you.
Partial Packing Service – We pack selected items based on your needs.
Collection & Delivery Only – If you prefer to pack yourself, we can simply transport your belongings.
We also provide packing materials if you choose to pack on your own.
Who will dismantle and reassemble my furniture?
Our team offers a dismantling and reassembling service for furniture, including items like bed frames and wardrobes. Some flat-pack furniture may not be designed for multiple dismantling and reassembly, so we’ll discuss any limitations with you in advance.
How far in advance do I need to book my house move?
The earlier, the better! Peak times such as the end of the month, summer, and bank holidays fill up quickly. To secure your preferred date, book as soon as your move date is confirmed with your solicitor. During quieter months, shorter notice may be possible.
Can I leave my contents in my chest of drawers?
Yes, you can leave non-fragile items in your chest of drawers. However, we may need to remove the drawers when carrying the chest to and from the van.
